In 2006 I left behind my northern English roots and moved south to Exeter to continue Drama training I started in Edinburgh. In Exeter I worked as a teacher though left the course in 2007 taking with me some handy experience...
I left to move to Thailand to teach and live in a town called Lopburi. The town is known as 'monkey town' on account of its furry and notoriously naughty population of 2 foot terrors! From June 2007 I taught school children aged 11-14. I also worked through Lopburi Language Institute with smaller classes.
As of that November I worked as Lecturer in English at a Thai university. My students were aged around 20 and English majors.
My first school year completed, I moved to Bangkok in March 2008. The amazing city quickly provided me with a great apartment, a day job at a high-society Christian girls school, and an evening job with a drama-based language school whose business clients included staff at the Thai Grand Palace.
In July 2008 I unfortunately had to move back to England at short notice but my plans are to get back to my former life of fun and progress my pursuit of happiness... Please join me for a total learning experience!
